Not so much a prescription lens, I need the blue light coating to reduce strain on the eyes when looking at electronic devices.

If you're around Siam Square, there's a shop called Top Charoen Optical that's been around forever. They have a good selection of mid-range frames from brands like Masunaga and Jacques Durand, and they'll do the blue light coating on site. Expect to pay around 2000 to 3000 baht for the whole thing, and they usually have it ready same day if you go in the morning. The staff there speaks enough English to sort out the coating details.
honestly just go to any big mall like central world or terminal 21, there's a chain called owndays that does the blue light coating as a standard option on almost everything. they have mid range frames starting around 2000 baht and the coating is included in that price, no extra charge. their turnaround is like 30 mins to an hour which is handy if you're only in town for a few days. the staff at the central world branch are pretty chill and they'll walk u through the coating levels
charoen krung road near saphan taksin bts has a bunch of optical shops in a row, like a little eyeglass lane. they can usually do the blue light coating on any frame you pick, even the cheap ones. i got a pair done in a few hours for around 1500 baht total, just bring your prescription or get tested there for free

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
