We all know Expedia and Booking for short term staying at a hotel but is there a comparabkle website which lists all the condos for a longer period.

I consider to stay in Bangkok for a couple of months (and prefer a condo now) but I don't want to spend so much money on hotels.

For a two month stay you're actually in a sweet spot because most Thai landlords won't touch anything under six months, so you're not competing with the standard one year lease crowd. What works well is joining the Facebook groups like "Bangkok Condo Rental" or "Expats in Bangkok" where agents post daily, and just messaging a few directly with your dates. You'll often get quoted 15,000 to 25,000 baht a month for a decent one bedroom in somewhere like Phra Khanong or Saphan Khwai, which is way below the nightly Airbnb rate once you crunch it. Just be ready to pay a deposit upfront and don't expect a proper contract, a Line chat and a bank transfer is usually how it goes.

honestly the site you want doesnt exist in one place but AirBnB's monthly view is closer than people admit. set your dates for 60+ days and the nightly rate drops a lot, often 40 percent off, and you get the contract and deposit handled without the juristic office drama. for a 2 month stay i'd rather pay a small premium there than deal with a Line-only landlord who might ghost you mid-stay. around On Nut or Bang Chak you can find decent one beds in the 18k to 25k range monthly, cheaper than Asok by a wide margin and still on the BTS.

Worth knowing that a lot of the "monthly" listings you'll see on Hipflat are actually priced for a 12 month lease, so the number shown is basically the yearly rate divided by twelve. If you ask for two months the agent will often bump it up 20 to 30 percent, or just say no. What caught me out my first time is that many buildings in Bangkok have a minimum stay rule baked into the juristic person's rules, so even if the owner is fine with two months, the office might refuse to register you. I'd ask about that before you get attached to a unit, especially in the newer luxury towers around Sukhumvit where the rules tend to be stricter. Serviced apartments like the ones on Soi 11 or around Nana sidestep this entirely, though you pay maybe 30k to 45k baht a month for a small one bed.

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
