Do international students study in NIDA Thailand ?

If yes which course ? If yes which course ?

The majority of international students at NIDA are in the MBA or the PhD in Development Administration, but the Master of Arts in Social and Political Development (MASPOD) has been getting more foreign applicants lately. It's taught in English and covers governance and public policy, which appeals to people from Southeast Asia and Africa who want to work in NGOs or government.

The campus is in Bang Kapi, so you're a bit far from the tourist areas, but the food stalls along Seri Thai Road are excellent and cheap. A bowl of boat noodles there will run you about 50 baht and it's way better than what you'd get near Siam.

honestly the international programs at NIDA are mostly at the graduate level, but the School of Language and Communication has a solid MA in English for Professional Development that attracts a lot of non-Thai students. its less known than the MBA but the class sizes are smaller and you get more one-on-one with profs

the campus cafeteria is actually legit good and cheap, like 40-50 baht for a full meal. plus theres a decent 7-Eleven right outside the main gate for snacks between classes. just prepare for the heat walking between buildings, theres not much covered walkway

yeah theres a decent number of international students at NIDA, mostly in the grad programs. the Master of Business Administration (MBA) is prob the most popular one with foreigners, especially the ones focused on international business or marketing. also the PhD in development administration gets a fair share of overseas folks, since its kind of their flagship thing and taught in english

if youre looking at NIDA, keep in mind its a specialized uni not a general one, so its mostly grad level stuff. the campus is out near Bang Kapi, not central Bangkok, so living near the BTS on Sukhumvit means a 30-40 min taxi ride each way depending on traffic

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
