I like to stay in nice hotels with balconies. Don't really have a budget but would like to feel like I received a great deal! Thank you in advance!

ngl if you want a balcony that actually feels like a private hangout spot rather than just a rail to lean on, check out the W Bangkok. the rooms on the higher floors have these little balconies with city views and the bed is ridiculous. it's in Sathorn so walkable to the BTS at Chong Nonsi and the nightlife on Soi Convent is like a 5 min walk. book a "Wonderful Room" directly on their site, you'll prob get a free upgrade

fwiw the Riva Surya on Charoen Krung has balconies that overlook the river and it's way quieter than the main tourist spots. the rooms are a bit older but the sunset from there is killer and you can walk to Khao San if u feel like it. book a river view room direct, they sometimes throw in breakfast for free

honestly for a solo guy who wants a balcony and a good deal, check out the Siam area. The Siam @ Siam Design Hotel has some rooms with nice little balconies and the rooftop pool is solid. It's a bit off the main road but walkable to the BTS at National Stadium.

if u want something more central with a proper balcony, try the Novotel Platinum in Pratunam. it's right in the middle of the shopping chaos but the balconies are decent and the breakfast buffet is actually good for what u pay. just avoid the rooms facing the main road unless u like traffic noise at 6am.

another option is the Anantara Sathorn. it's a bit further south but the rooms are huge and the balconies are legit. the deal there is the pool area feels like a resort. grab a Grab to Silom for nightlife, it's like 60 baht.

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
