if you're near emquartier, the anchorman butter at gourmet market is pretty solid for this. it's cultured so it has that extra richness that stands up to garlic better than regular stuff. about 280 baht per block which isn't cheap but worth it for the flavor

otherwise i'd say skip the expensive butter and just get the australian devondale from makro, it's like 150 baht for a 500g block and works fine if you let it soften before mixing

honestly just grab the president butter from gourmet market or tops, it's salted and works perfect for garlic bread. if u want a local option, the 'dutch mill' brand at villa market is good too but a bit pricier. i usually mix it with some minced garlic and parsley from or tor kor market, makes a huge difference

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
