Is May a month for sales or are there always some discounts going on? Some really good deals on clothing and sneakers. Especially sneakers, there are big discounts on current styles.

May's actually a sweet spot because a lot of the big malls coordinate their sale cycles around the same time, so the discounts stack up. If you're into sneakers, don't sleep on the smaller shops in Siam Square either, they often have random markdowns that the malls don't advertise.

yeah may is def one of the better months for sales but honestly central world and terminal 21 always have some kind of promo going on. the big push right now is the "mid year sale" thing but even outside that, those malls rotate deals every few weeks, especially on sneakers. if you're into sneakers you should check out the nike outlet at mega bangna, it's a bit far but the discounts are way deeper than what you'll see at terminal 21. just take the bts to udom suk then grab a taxi, it's like 10 mins from there.

The sneaker deals you're seeing are real though, stores like JD Sports and Sneaker District at Central World often have rotating discounts, but May tends to have steeper cuts on current-season pairs to make room for the next drop. If you're after specific brands, check the Outlet Mall at Siam Premium Outlets near Bang Na, but that's a bit of a trek on the BTS Skytrain.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
