Could you please suggest places where there are parties for such please?

check out salsa room on sukhumvit soi 22, they have a solid schedule with bachata and kizomba nights too. for a more local scene, barcelona club on ratchadaphisek does bachata socials on wednesdays. also, the salsa & bachata social at singha park on sundays is worth it if u want a mix of styles outdoors. covers are usually 200-300 baht, drinks reasonable

for kizomba, hit up club 96 on sukhumvit 33/1 on fridays - it's a smaller space but the crowd is serious about dancing and the vibe stays till late. bachata people usually rotate between there and a spot called bamba on soi 22 on saturdays, which has a more laidback feel with a mix of sensual and traditional. covers run 200-300 baht like most places, just bring cash since cards aren't always taken. if u want a weekday option, there's a casual bachata practice session at the latin dance center on soi 26 on tuesdays, free entry but they expect u to buy a drink

La Bodega on Soi 11 has a decent salsa night on Thursdays that draws a mixed crowd of expats and locals. If you're after kizomba, check Zense on the 17th floor of CentralWorld on Fridays, the view up there is pretty impressive and the floor is good for spinning. For a more underground feel, there's a small social at Latin Club on Sukhumvit 33/1 that rotates styles depending on the night. Prices are similar across the board, around 250 baht cover with one drink included.

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Their som tam is prob the most authentic I've found in the city, and the grilled chicken is always on point. Anyone else go here?

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
