Hello all, Me, my daughter and wife are heading to Bangkok tomorrow afternoon. Any suggestions for foods, massages, and fun spots? Mostly would prefer places that are family friendly. Thanks a bunch! Also, is the Copper Buffet worth it?

honestly skip copper buffet, it's a logistical nightmare with kids and you're paying for quantity not quality. for a family dinner i'd hit up the riverfront at khlong san - there's a bunch of spots with outdoor seating, kids can run around a bit and you get a nice breeze off the river. try the boat noodle place near wongwian yai if you want something more local, it's like 15 baht a bowl and my niece loves counting how many she can eat.

for massages with a family i'd go to praxis at thong lor, they have a separate room where kids can chill with a tablet while you get a decent thai massage. it's a bit pricier but worth not having a cranky kid in the waiting room. you can walk to the thong lor art space after for some free galleries and a playground.

the new kidzania branch at siam paragon is way better than the aquarium imo, my daughter spent like 4 hours there pretending to be a pilot. it's air conditioned and they have actual age-appropriate activities for different ages. just book ahead online cuz it sells out.

since you're landing tomorrow afternoon and with family, i'd head straight to or tor kor market near chatuchak - it's a massive fresh market but super clean with tons of ready-to-eat stuff. kids love the coconut ice cream served in a real coconut and you can grab grilled river prawns for like 400 baht a kilo. way more chill than the chaos of chinatown at night

for a fun afternoon, take the kids to kiddee club at central embassy - it's a proper indoor play space with a ball pit and craft stations, costs around 300 baht per kid and you can sit at the cafe right next to it while they run wild. combined with a walk through the embassy's art installations it kills a good 3 hours without melting in the heat

copper buffet is a hard pass with a family. the line alone can be 45 minutes and kids get bored fast. instead try the suki buffet at mk gold on sukhumvit - it's all you can eat too but way more relaxed, they bring the food to your table and the broth is mild enough for kids. about 500 baht per adult and kids under 4 are free

For family friendly food, try the food court at Siam Paragon or the street stalls around Yaowarat (Chinatown) at night - kids love the roti and mango sticky rice. Massage wise, avoid the super cheap backpacker spots and go to places like Health Land or Let's Relax, they're clean and probs fine for kids to wait. Copper Buffet is overhyped imo, not worth the hassle with a family unless you really want to eat a ton of seafood. For fun, the kid's area at Asiatique or the aquarium at Siam

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
