Last visa run (2nd time) will it be okay?

tbh the overstay isnt a big deal, you paid so its cleared in their system. the bigger risk is the pattern - three visa exempt entries in a row might flag you at the airport. land border at aranyaprathet is smarter because theyre more chill about repeat entries than suvarnabhumi

one thing your agent didnt mention is that you can also do a 30 day extension on this new entry if you need more buffer time. so if you cross back on april 28, you can extend at immi after 2 weeks and get til june 2ish. that gives you plenty of room past the wedding

for the run itself, take the 6am avanti bus from mo chit, you'll be at the border by 8. cross to poipet, walk around the market for 20 min, come back. total maybe 3 hours. bring 200 baht for the bus and 100 for the border fee on the cambodian side. keep your wedding papers in your bag just in case but honestly they prob wont ask

If you're worried about the two overstay days, don't be. Immigration sees that all the time and you paid the fine, so it's cleared. The bigger thing is that you've done two visa exempt entries in a row already, so a third one might get more scrutiny, especially at the airport. I'd go by land to Aranyaprathet and cross at Poipet, it's a smoother process for repeat entries than DMK or Suvarnabhumi. One day is plenty, just cross, have a coffee in Poipet, and come back after an hour or two.

Bring a printed copy of your fiance's work permit and the wedding booking, but also keep your relationship proof handy like photos together or chat logs. They rarely ask, but when they do it's a quick show-and-tell that ends the questions. Do the run around April 29 or 30, that gives you a buffer before the May 1 date your agent mentioned. The Avanti bus from Mo Chit is cheap and runs often, just get there early because the queue at the border can build up by midday.

honestly i think you're overcomplicating it a bit. the two overstay days might get you some side-eye at immigration but since you paid the fine it's fine. for the 2nd run i'd do a land border like aranyaprathet, quick in and out, one day is enough. just make sure you have your wedding papers and fiance's work stuff ready to show if they ask. should be okay

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
