However I'm not sure how to best go about it. Is there a website you can book appointments and how much are attendance expected to cost?

Anyone has some recommendations would be great if they speak English.

fwiw the big hospitals are overkill for a simple gyno issue. there's a place called Vejthani Hospital on Phetchaburi Road, less touristy but they've got a proper women's health center and the english is solid. walk-in consult is around 1,000 to 1,500 baht, cheaper than Bumrungrad, and the wait is usually shorter cause not many foreigners know about it. take the BTS to Thong Lo then grab a taxi, it's like 10 min from there.

if u do end up at a bigger place, ask for a doctor named Dr. Siriporn at Samitivej, she's got great reviews with expats and does same day slots if u call before 10am. no online booking needed, just ring the hospital switchboard and they'll patch u through. bring ur passport and a bit of cash for the deposit, some places hold ur card until u pay after the consult.

honestly just walk into Samitivej Sukhumvit, no booking needed. the gyno dept is on the 4th floor, tell the front desk its urgent and theyll squeeze u in. bring passport plus 2,000 baht cash or card, consultation alone is around 1,800. if u want it cheaper, BNH Hospital near Silom does walk-ins too, but their english is slightly less polished. for a same day appointment online, try the "Doctor Raksa" app, it lists gynos with real time slots, and u can filter by english speaking. last tip, avoid late afternoon on weekdays, that's when the lobby gets packed with expats.

You don't really need to book ahead for a gyno visit here, most private hospitals take walk-ins and you'll be seen within the hour. Bumrungrad and Samitivej are the big ones with excellent English-speaking staff, a consultation runs about 1,500 to 2,500 baht plus any lab work. For something quicker and cheaper, try a smaller clinic like Medconsult or the Sukhumvit Hospital's women's clinic, they're less flashy but same standard of care. If you want to book online, most hospital websites have a "make an appointment" form, but honestly just showing up with your passport is easier.

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
