Will all the street food in Chinatown still be open during Songkran?

This is my first Songkran.

Also, wondering if the train night market near Seacon Square will be open too?

Thanks

Chinatown stays pretty lively during Songkran, especially along Yaowarat Road where the bigger stalls with seating areas tend to keep running. The smaller pushcarts might take a day or two off, but you won't go hungry. For the Seacon Square train market, it's usually open but expect a quieter vibe since a lot of families are out celebrating or traveling. I'd aim to go earlier in the evening before things wind down.

songkran is a mixed bag for chinatown - some stalls close for the holiday but plenty stay open, especially the bigger ones. the seacon square train market is usually open but hours might be shorter since it's a holiday, i'd check their facebook before heading out

Yaowarat Road on the first day of Songkran is actually one of the best places to be if you want chaos and food combined. The water fights there are intense along the main strip, but the stalls set back in the side sois tend to stay open and are easier to access. For the Seacon Square market, I'd check if they're doing their own Songkran event because sometimes they close earlier or open later depending on the schedule.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
