I've had good luck with Raja's Fashions on Sukhumvit Soi 4. It's not in a mall, just a standalone shop that's been around for decades. Their wool starts around 8,000 baht for a decent half-canvassed suit, though you'll pay more for things like Loro Piana fabric. Just give them a few days for multiple fittings and be clear about what you want from the start.

If you're willing to head a bit out of the tourist zones, try Narin Tailor on Soi 22 near Phrom Phong. It's a small family-run shop, three generations now, and they don't push upsells like some of the bigger places. I got a VBC wool suit there for about 9,000 baht last year and the fit was spot on after two fittings. Just bring a photo of a suit you like or a jacket that already fits you well, it saves time on the initial consultation.

honestly just go to Pinky Tailor on Soi 11. it's a tiny shop run by this old Thai guy who's been doing it forever, no flashy sales pitch just solid work. i got a navy wool there for like 7,500 baht and it's held up better than some pricier ones i've had. just tell him straight up what you want and don't let him talk you into extra lining or whatever

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
