if you're near sukhumvit 24, the sports complex (klong tan) has a small driving range that's pretty quiet during weekday mornings. think it's run by the bangkok sports authority or something, they charge around 300 baht per session with a basic instructor. not fancy but you get the fundamentals without the sukhumvit markup. also worth checking the public range at benjakitti park, it's a bit further but dirt cheap like 200 baht and the older thai guys there will give u tips for free if you ask nicely
check out sukhumvit golf range on sukhumvit 26, they do group lessons for like 500 baht an hour which is about as cheap as you'll find around here. the pros there are decent but don't expect a luxury setup, it's a driving range with nets. for something more structured but still under 1000 baht try the golf academy at the emsphere mall, they have simulators and a thai instructor who's pretty patient with beginners. just avoid the high-end courses like president country club for lessons, they'll charge u 2000+ for the same thing
I'd actually recommend checking out the golf zone at the bottom of the Phrom Phong BTS stairs on Sukhumvit 24, it's a small indoor simulator place that does 600 baht intro sessions. The guy who runs it is a retired Thai tour caddie who speaks good English and really focuses on grip and posture before you even swing. It's not a driving range so you won't hit real balls, but for learning the mechanics without feeling rushed it's way better than the busy outdoor ranges.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
