I got sick almost three weeks ago, after about 1 week I was completaly healthy and symptom free except one thing. My throat is still sore and swollen. My throat is still sore and swollen. Tonsils shouldn't be sore this long so im a little worried, and more importantly, I might have a fight at the end og April and I need my airflow and breathing to be in good condition.

Where do you recommend?

Bangkok Hospital on Soi Soonvijai has a solid ENT department that doesn't get mentioned as often. The consult is around 700-900 baht and they have a good scope setup for checking deeper throat issues. Since you mentioned fighting in April, I'd also ask them about any potential tonsil crypt problems that could flare up again under physical stress. Take the BTS to Thong Lo and grab a motorbike taxi from there, it's about 20 baht and saves you the walk in this heat.

thonglor hospital is another option, a bit smaller than the big ones but their ent team is pretty sharp. i went there for a sinus thing and the doc actually spent time explaining, not just pushing meds. consult is around 800-1000 baht iirc. for a fight in april you really want a clear scope of what's going on, so maybe ask them to check for tonsil stones or a peritonsillar abscess, those can sneak up and wreck your breathing

honestly Bumrungrad is the most famous but you'll pay for it, a simple consult with a specialist runs like 1500-2000 baht just for the doc before any tests. if you want something more chill and way cheaper, try Saint Louis Hospital on Sathorn - their ENT dept is solid and it's not a tourist zoo. for something closer to the street vibe, Rajavithi Hospital near Victory Monument has good doctors too, just expect longer waits and less English spoken. get that checked before April, a lingering throat issue could mess with your breathing under pressure

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
