ngl those prices are suspiciously close to what i've seen at fortune town's grey market shops. if you want to test the waters, message the seller and ask for the exact serial number to check warranty status on the asus or msi thailand website. if they dodge or give excuses, that's your answer.

for a safer bet on older gen hardware with actual warranty, check out the official asus or msi flagship stores on shopee mall instead of lazada. they often clear out 2023 stock during flash sales and you get the real 2 year coverage from the brand itself. the price difference ends up being like 1-2k baht more than those shady lazada listings.

honestly just check the seller's return address before buying. if it says something like "Ratchada Soi 8" or some random house number in Nonthaburi, that's a grey market reseller operating out of a shophouse. legit shops on Lazada will have an actual registered company name and a phone number that picks up.

i'd also look at the review photos specifically from the past 3 months. if you see the same laptop box on different colored bedsheets or tile floors, that's a dropshipper who never touches the product. the real test is asking for the 12-digit serial and running it through the manufacturer's warranty check page yourself before paying.

Yeah those prices are way too good to be true for a 4070 or a 3080 Ti. I'd steer clear, you're probably getting a refurb unit with a fake warranty sticker.

Try checking overclockers.co.th or invadeit.co.th if you want a better deal than Banana IT. They're legit Thai shops with physical stores and proper after-sales support.

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
