Does anyone know of anywhere in Bangkok that sells natural sunscreen?

arrow_drop_up 2528 arrow_drop_down

there's a spot in sukhumvit called health & nature shop on soi 49/1, they carry a few thai brands like noly that are zinc-based and don't leave you looking like a ghost. i've seen them at tops market too in the natural section near emquartier, usually around 350 baht. the thai heat is brutal so make sure whatever u get says "water resistant" or u'll be reapplying every hour lol

honestly just hit up the local pharmacies, some of the bigger ones like fascino on sukhumvit carry a few natural options now. i saw a brand called mad about skin at the one near phrom phong, spf50 and zinc based, pretty solid. also the tony's organic store on sathorn has a small selection if ur already down that way

Villa Market and Foodland both have a section with natural skincare brands that include sunscreen. The one at Villa on Sukhumvit 33 has a few options from a Thai brand called Sasi, which is zinc based and around 400 baht. If you're near a Rimping Supermarket, they carry a wider range of natural products including sunscreens that are harder to find elsewhere.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
