Is there any best rice soup in Bangkok? Seafood or not is fine though.

I'm looking for a rice soup that help you sober after a drink, can anyone recommend me a place or two? I'm looking for a rice soup that help you sober after a drink, can anyone recommend me a place or two?

Jok Prince on Charoen Krung is a solid bet, their plain rice soup is super clean and hits the spot after a night out. Or if you're near Bang Rak, try Jok Sam Yan, it's open late and they do a mean one with pork balls.

honestly if you're near ekkamai, jok khao tom soei on sukhumvit 63 is my go-to. their jok is super thick and they load it with shredded chicken and ginger, which is exactly what you need when your head's pounding. it's open till like 4am so perfect for that 2am stumble.

another option is the street stall near bts phrom phong, soi 24 exit. no name really, just a guy with a cart and a big pot. he does a mean khao tom with shrimp and garlic oil, not really jok but that salty broth hits different after a few beers. costs like 50 baht and he's there from 10pm til dawn.

ngl the best sober-up jok is probably khoa tom pla from nai mong hoi thod on khao san. it's not fancy but that peppery fish broth will sort u out better than any jok. they're open weird hours too so if ur stumbling around at 3am it works. just don't expect a sit-down spot, it's more of a plastic stool on the sidewalk vibe

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
