If you're after hands-on stone setting specifically, check out the Silpakorn University weekend workshops in Wang Thonglang. They're less commercial than the Asok options and the instructors are actual master jewelers from the faculty. You'll need to bring your own loupe and basic tools, but they provide the practice stones and metal. About 1,500 baht per session, runs every Saturday morning for six weeks. Sign up at least a month ahead, the local students fill those spots fast.

bangkok gem and jewelry academy near asok is solid for beginners. they do a specific stone setting short course that covers basic prong and bezel work. about 8k baht for a weekend workshop, tools included. if u want something more casual, bangkok art & culture centre has occasional one-off sessions but they book out fast

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
