Anyone want to share a taxi from Bangkok to Hua Hin on Saturday, March 16th?

As stated in the description, I want to depart tomorrow afternoon around 13:00 from the city center to Hua Hin, and I thought maybe someone would like to travel along. The bus from Ekkamai also goes to Hua Hin, not just the southern terminal. It's about 180 baht and runs every 30 minutes or so from the Eastern Bus Terminal. I've done the shared taxi thing a few times and it's fine if you have a group, but for a solo afternoon trip the bus is simpler and you don't have to coordinate with a stranger.

If you're set on the shared taxi route, try the Facebook group "Hua Hin Taxi Share" or the "Bangkok to Hua Hin" ride board. People post there daily looking to split fares, usually around 300-400 baht per person for a door-to-door car. The bus is cheaper but the taxi gives you AC and a direct drop, worth it if you're lugging bags.

honestly if u can't find a split buddy, the bus from the southern bus terminal (sai tai mai) to hua hin is like 150 baht and leaves every hour. it takes about 3-3.5 hours. the minivan from victory monument is a bit faster but more cramped. i'd do the bus over a shared taxi unless u really hate crowds

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
