Where can I get flaxseeds?

I am in Sillim-dong and I have been going to every market in the area and I just can't find it. I went to E-mart a week ago but no success.

Is it not common here?

Head to the foreign food section at the big Lotte Department Store in Gwanak-gu, not too far from you. They stock stuff like flaxseeds and chia alongside imported cereals and baking goods. Otherwise, a lot of the smaller organic shops near Hongdae, like the one on the main street past Sangsu Station, carry them in bulk for a fair price.

try the health food section at a big Lotte Mart or Homeplus. the one in gwangmyeong or even the seoul branch near sindorim might have it. also check out a place called iHerb, they deliver to korea fast and it's way cheaper than what you'd find in stores here

Yeah they're not super common in regular Korean markets. You might have better luck at iHerb or Coupang, that's where most people I know get them.

Best coffee at Common Grounds in Seoul 2026?

fmd_goodCommon Grounds · #coffee
The blue container mall at Konkuk University keeps pulling in good coffee spots, but I'm never sure which stall is actually worth the queue on a Saturday. Any locals have a favorite at Common Grounds… The blue container mall at Konkuk University keeps pulling in good coffee spots, but I'm never sure which stall is actually worth the queue on a Saturday. Any locals have a favorite at Common Grounds for 2026, especially something that isn't just hype?

Fritz, weekdays before noon. Saturday queue is teh hype.

Agreed on weekdays, though I'd add that their Konkuk branch gets packed after 2pm too, so go right at opening.

Terarosa on the third floor, opens at 9 sharp.

true, the after 2pm rush is the food court crowd from the mall not coffee people, so mornings still win

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Sat around 11 the line snakes past the container steps, so weekdays are honestly the only sane bet there.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Fair enough, though I'd say Sunday afternoon is the real sweet spot since the students clear out by then.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Center Coffee on the second floor, right at 10.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

honestly the queue moves faster than it looks since they pull two baristas on weekends, but yeah weekday mornings are still the move

Image birga local ·

yeah the weekend crowd is mostly students from the uni across the street, so it clears out once exams end

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

makes sense, the exam calendar really drives it. midterms week the whole place empties out by like 1, otherwise it's packed till close. check the univ schedule before u go
