Microbus fine daytime, skip it after dark.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

yeah daytime is fine but know your route before boarding since the hafiz at the door shouts destinations fast

Past 10pm it thins out fast.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

agreed, though midday summer heat on that road is its own reason to just take Careem

Fair point, though the air conditioning surcharge on ride apps stings more than the fare itself.

Internet in Zamalek and Maadi is solid enough for video calls, though I'd get a local SIM with a big data bundle as backup since outages happen. For US overlap, most people here work late shifts, so a 4pm to midnight Cairo schedule is pretty normal.

Second this, WE in Sheikh Zayed is quieter for calls.

District 5 also has decent call quality.

Arkan Plaza, mornings before the school run.

yeah the SIM backup is the real tip

The 4 to midnight thing matches what my cousin does, she's on UK hours but still ends up working till 10 most nights because of how meetings get scheduled.
