**📱 SIM Cards and Connectivity** For seamless connectivity, pick up a prepaid SIM card at Incheon Airport upon arrival. Providers like SK Telecom and KT offer tourist SIMs with data packages starting at around 30,000 KRW for 7 days. Alternatively, rent a portable Wi-Fi egg for about 3,000 KRW per day, which can be reserved online and picked up at the airport. **💵 Currency and Payments** The local currency is the South Korean Won (KRW), and cash is still widely used in traditional markets and small eateries. However, credit cards are accepted almost everywhere, including taxis and convenience stores. ATMs are plentiful, but look for ones labeled 'Global' or 'Foreign Card' to avoid fees. **🚇 Getting Around Seoul** Seoul's subway system is efficient, affordable, and English-friendly, with signs and announcements in English. Purchase a T-money card at any convenience store for 2,500 KRW and load it with cash; it works on buses, subways, and even taxis. A single subway ride costs around 1,350 KRW, and transfers between buses and subways are free within 30 minutes. **🙏 Cultural Tips for Visitors** Respect local customs by bowing slightly when greeting and using both hands to receive items, especially from elders. Remove your shoes before entering homes and some traditional restaurants. Tipping is not customary in South Korea, as service charges are included. **🏛️ Must-See in 3 to 5 Days** Start with Gyeongbokgung Palace (closed Tuesdays) and the nearby Bukchon Hanok Village for traditional architecture. Then explore Myeongdong for shopping and street food, and end your day at N Seoul Tower for panoramic city views. If you have extra time, visit the DMZ or take a day trip to the Korean Folk Village in Yongin. **🍜 Food and Dining Basics** Don't miss Korean BBQ in Mapo-gu or a bowl of bibimbap in Insadong. Street food like tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and hotteok (sweet pancakes) are cheap and delicious at places like Gwangjang Market. Most restaurants serve banchan (side dishes) for free, and you can ask for more without charge. **🛍️ Shopping and Souvenirs** For cosmetics and K-pop merchandise, head to Myeongdong or Hongdae. Traditional souvenirs like hanji paper and handmade pottery are best found at Insadong's craft shops. Tax-free shopping is available at major department stores and duty-free shops for tourists spending over 30,000 KRW. **🌙 Nightlife and Evening Spots** Hongdae is the hub for youthful nightlife with countless bars and clubs, while Gangnam offers upscale lounges and trendy spots. For a quieter evening, stroll along the Cheonggyecheon Stream or enjoy a river cruise on the Han River. Most subway lines run until midnight, so plan your return accordingly.
