honestly if you're into proper techno, try sing sing theater on sukhumvit soi 45. the name is misleading, it's a club not a theater, decor is wild with all these vintage chinese lanterns and birdcages. they play solid electronic sets and the vibe is way less touristy than rca spots. drinks are pricy though, like 400 baht for a simple mixer
another one that flies under the radar is demo on ekkamai soi 10, it's more of an open air warehouse setup with decent local djs spinning deep techno most nights. cover is usually 200-300 baht which is cheap compared to thonglor spots. just bring cash cause their card machine breaks constantly
fwiw if you're into the deeper side of things, beam is worth checking out on sukhumvit soi 23. they get decent international djs and the sound system is actually good, not just loud. cover's usually around 500 baht with a drink.
for something more underground, never grow up in ekkamai has a raw warehouse vibe and stays open til like 4am. just be warned it gets packed and sweaty real fast.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
