What the title says, my wife will be working in Bangkok for the month of May. We'd rather not spend a month in a hotel since we have a 9 month old.

Are there any groups (f/b, Reddit, etc) that people post that sort of thing? Or any websites that offer month long stays?

fb groups are prob your best bet honestly. "Bangkok Expats" and "Bangkok Apartments for Rent" on facebook both get short term sublet posts pretty regularly. also check "Rent in Bangkok Monthly" group.

for websites, airbnb is fine but overpriced for a month. try hipflat.co.th or renthub.in.th and filter by monthly rentals. you can find decent 1br condos near bts lines for like 15-20k baht a month in places like On Nut or Phra Khanong.

one thing nobody mentions is that some condo buildings have strict rules against subletting under 30 days. so if you do go through a fb listing, make sure the juristic office allows it or you might get hassled with a 9 month old in tow.

honestly if you're only here for May you might be better off with a serviced apartment than dealing with the sublet headache. the Ascott ones are nice but there's also Somerville or Oakwood which are cheaper and still have kitchens. I've seen studios around Sukhumvit 24 for like 18k a month if you book direct and ask for a monthly rate.

try the "Bangkok Monthly Rentals" group on fb too, I've noticed more people posting short-term stuff there lately. just be upfront about the baby cause some owners get weird about kids in fully furnished places. also check propertyhub.in.th, they have a short-term filter most people miss.

yeah subletting is def a thing here, mostly through word of mouth or those facebook groups the other person mentioned. another option is to just look for serviced apartments, they do monthly rates and are way more baby-friendly than a random condo. places like Ascott or Somerset have studios that come with a kitchen and laundry, prob around 25-30k baht but you get a reception and no hassle about lease rules. also check the "Bangkok Short Term Rentals" group on fb, I see people post month stays there all the time

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
