Active-ish clubs for Mondays?
honestly most places are dead on mondays but if you want r&b/hip hop check out sing sing theater on sukhumvit 45. they do a thing called "monday night therapy" with a live band that covers a lot of hip hop and r&b, gets going around 10. cover is like 300 baht with a drink. it's a bit of a walk from thong lo bts but grab a motosai for 20 baht.
if that's not ur vibe, beam on sukhumvit 23 has a hip hop night too but it's more of a late crowd, prob empty before midnight. tbh just go to sing sing first then migrate if it's dead
glow on sukhumvit 23 does a hip hop monday sometimes, worth checking their ig before u head out. cover is usually free or cheap before 11 so get there early. it's a smaller space but the sound system is solid and they actually play 2000s r&b which is rare these days
if you're near on nut, try the club at w district. it's called "the club" and they do an r&b/hip hop night on mondays. it's a bit more lowkey than sukhumvit spots but the crowd is consistent and drinks are cheap, like 100 baht for a beer. plus the whole w district has food stalls and a little market if u wanna hang before or after. easy to get to from on nut bts, just walk through the parking lot
best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026
yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
