What would be a good itinerary? Day time we would like to visit cultural, common attractions or historical places and would like to party a bit at night. Any recommendations for places to eat and dishes to try will be nice as well

since you're at ramada riverside, take the free shuttle to si phraya pier and hop on the orange flag express boat for 15 baht each. it's the cheapest way to see the river and drop you at wat muang kae which is a lesser known temple but has a massive reclining buddha that's way less crowded than wat pho

for a group dinner that's not chinatown, try ban khun mae on sathorn. it does decent central thai food and the space is big enough for 8 without a reservation. get the tod mun pla (fish cakes) and gaeng keow wan gai (green curry), they do them well

party wise, skip khao san and head to rca for the local club scene. route 66 and onyx are the big ones, they play a mix of edm and thai pop. cover is usually free before 9pm and drinks are cheap. just know the bts doesn't run after midnight so have grab ready or negotiate with a taxi driver for the whole night

nightlife wise, check out khao san road for the chaotic backpacker vibe or thong lor for more upscale bars. since you're at ramada riverside, the asiatique night market is a short walk or taxi away, good for dinner and drinks along the river.

for daytime, hit the grand palace and wat pho first thing in the morning before it gets hot and crowded. they're right next to each other so you can knock them out in a few hours. then grab a taxi to wat arun across the river.

food wise, you gotta try pad thai from a street stall near khao san, not the touristy ones. also get som tam (papaya salad) and mango sticky rice from any vendor. for a group dinner, try the seafood at t&k seafood in chinatown, it's loud and busy but worth it.

with 8 people, book a longtail boat for a canal tour from the river, it's a cool way to see the city from the water and you'll get to see some temples along the khlongs. just negotiate the price beforehand.

for 8 people, the ramada riverside is a solid base but the free shuttle to si phraya pier stops early. grab a grab or taxi to the flower market (pak khlong talat) around dusk, it's chaos but beautiful and right by wat pho. then walk over to wat arun at sunset for the view without the midday heat.

for a group meal that's not chinatown chaos, try supanniga eating room on sathorn. it's a bit pricier but does modern thai dishes like the fried sea bass with green mango. book ahead with 8 people or you'll wait forever.

if you want a party spot that's less touristy than khao san, check out sing sing theater in thong lor. it's a club with a cool opium den aesthetic and good cocktails. cover charge is around 500 baht each but worth it for the vibe. just know thong lor taxis are a nightmare after midnight so have the grab app ready

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
