I know this gets asked a lot, but I am looking for some new ideas since so many new things open up in Bangkok. Looking for a place to celebrate my birthday with some dinner and drinks for about 10-12… I know this gets asked a lot, but I am looking for some new ideas since so many new things open up in Bangkok. Looking for a place to celebrate my birthday with some dinner and drinks for about 10-12 people. I have done Escape, Octave etc so just seeing if I can find something I hadn't thought of. Late 20s- early 30s crowd. Thanks.

tbh for a group that size i'd look at a man's kitchen on sukhumvit 24. it's japanese fusion but way more chill than the usual izakaya spots and they've got a private room that fits 12 no problem. the tasting menu runs about 1500 a head with drinks pairing and it's way better value than most rooftop places. after dinner you're a short walk to wanderlust for drinks or even find the locker room if you want something weirder

have you checked out Tropic City on Charoen Krung? it's a tiki bar with solid cocktails and a fun vibe, not too loud for a group your size. they do a decent spread of small plates too, but you might want to book the upstairs area if you're set on dinner. for something newer, Rabbit Hole on Soi Sukhumvit 55 is a speakeasy style spot with good food and a more intimate feel, though it can get packed on weekends

honestly if you want something that feels a bit more lowkey but still special for a group that size, try Iron Balls Distillery on Ekkamai. they've got a solid selection of their own gin and whisky, plus the food is actually decent for bar grub. the back room area works well for 10-12 people if you call ahead. another option is Teens of Thailand on Soi Nana in Chinatown, it's tiny but they have a sister bar called Tep Bar right next door with more space and live music some nights. between the two you can hop around without walking far.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
