What's wrong with Bolt Drivers asking if we have tickets to Siam Amazing Park?

Today I had 6-7 drivers cancelled on me when I booked the trip to Siam Amazing Park. They asked the same question how many people & tickets already bought?

I replied them that I already bought ticket… Today I had 6-7 drivers cancelled on me when I booked the trip to Siam Amazing Park. They asked the same question how many people & tickets already bought?

I replied them that I already bought tickets, they immediately cancelled.

What a frustrating experience!!!

You've stumbled into the Siam Amazing Park kickback racket. Those drivers want the 50-100 baht commission from the gate, so if you say you've got tickets, you're dead to them. Next time just tell them you haven't bought anything yet, let them drive you there, and grab your tickets at the window like everyone else. Or skip the hassle entirely and take the BTS to Mo Chit, then hop on bus 543 or one of the vans from Chatuchak for about 20 baht total.

That's a classic Bangkok taxi move unfortunately. The drivers are hoping you don't have tickets so they can take you to the park entrance and get a commission from the ticket booth. Once you say you already have tickets, they know they're not getting that kickback so they bail. If you want to avoid the hassle next time, just say you haven't bought tickets yet and let them take you, then buy your tickets at the gate anyway. Or take the BTS to Mo Chit and grab a bus from there, it's way cheaper and you won't deal with the cancellation game.

yeah it's the commission thing, classic scam. if you want to mess with them, say you have like 10 people and no tickets, they'll be super excited to pick you up lol. or just take the bts to mo chit and grab a van from the bus terminal there, it's like 20 baht and no drama

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
