I love cake and have been here for a couple of years and it's a hit or miss with the places I've tried. Either the butter cake is too dry (borderline biscuit-level consistency) or just too sweet. We have liked some cakes from Secret Recipe, but was hoping you may have some other cake shops you would highly recommend, including your favorite cakes from these places? I live in Thonglor, I'm hoping they can deliver to our condo! 😁

oh you gotta try butter & rose on ekkamai, their pandan chiffon is super fluffy and not too sweet. also bonjour bakery near thonglor bts does a solid sponge cake that's never dry. they both deliver on grab/lalamove

ngl you should check out the butter cake from the bakery inside the commons on thonglor soi 17. not the big name shops, the little counter near the coffee spot. their butter cake is dense but stays moist for days, and they don't drown it in sugar. also the pandan chiffon from the place next to villa market on sukhumvit 33 is legit, super airy without that weird artificial flavor some places use. both are on lineman so delivery's easy around your area

if you're in thonglor, try the butter cake from the bakery at kuppa on langsuan - they do a delivery run through grab and it's the most consistent butter cake i've found, dense but still tender. for chiffon, shugaa in ekkamai has a passionfruit one that's light as air and actually tastes like fruit, not just sugar. secret recipe's okay but their quality varies by branch, the one at gateway ekamai is usually better than most

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
