Best rooftop bars in Bangkok?

honestly three sixtythree at the banyan tree is my go-to. the view is 360 degrees so you see the whole city sprawl not just the river, and the prices are a bit more reasonable than the super touristy spots. if you go around sunset the golden hour light on all the temples and skyscrapers is pretty unreal. just be ready for a line at the elevator on weekends

octave at the marriott is my go-to for the river views without the thai-rattanakosin chaos. drinks are still pricy but the happy hour before 7pm makes it reasonable. their lychee martini is solid. just take the bts to saphan taksin and it's a short walk, way easier than dealing with taxi traffic around silom

tbh vertigo and moon bar at banyan tree is a classic for a reason, the view from 61 floors is insane. just go early like 5pm to grab a spot before the crowds and it's cheaper for sunset drinks. drinks are like 400-500 baht each which is standard for these places. if u want something more chill and less touristy, try tichuca on sukhumvit soi 49, the light installation is pretty wild at night

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
