Valium from bkk without doctor? Pharmacies just say they don't have. Want to stop drinking before going home, but withdrawal symptoms are brutal.

if you're really struggling, some of the clinics on khao san road will help without making a big deal about it. they're used to tourists with all kinds of issues. just walk in and say you can't sleep from withdrawing, they usually give you a few ativan or valium for like 200 baht. way less hassle than chasing pharmacies

if you're serious about stopping drinking, the hospitals are the right call and way cheaper than you think. samitivej's outpatient detox program is like 1500 baht for a consult and they'll give you a proper taper schedule with diazepam. the street pharmacy stuff is risky because you don't know if it's real or how strong it is. plus if you're staying at a hostel near khao san, just walk to bangkok christian hospital on silom, they're used to tourists in withdrawal and speak english fine

the government hospitals are actually your best bet here. if you go to the alcohol clinic at somdet chaopraya institute of psychiatry near the river, they do walk-in detox programs for like 200 baht. way cheaper than bnh and they actually understand the withdrawal process. just bring your passport and be honest about how much you've been drinking. they might give you a short course of diazepam to taper with

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
