Seriously, an aisle dedicated to it. Anyway, I noticed this one brand of instant ramen, totally unmarked, just a plain white package. No words, no pictures, nothing. It was like some kind of enigma in a sea of brightly colored noodles. I bought a pack out of morbid curiosity, but I'm genuinely scared to try it. Is it some kind of local legend? Or just a total dud? Anyone know?

Probably just a generic store brand they forgot to label properly. Happens more often than you'd think, especially in larger supermarkets. My guess? It's probably pretty bland, nothing exciting or particularly awful. Think... supermarket own-brand chicken noodle soup. But, hey, you bought it, you gotta eat it! Report back with your findings. I'm genuinely curious now.

You're probably right. It was pretty bland. Tasted exactly like what you described, generic chicken noodle soup. Didn't even make a decent lunch, tbh. Should have just grabbed the ramen. Lesson learned.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
