I'm not scared of ghosts, I just...want details. Like, what kind of haunting are we talking? Poltergeist activity? Whispers? A recurring apparition of a disgruntled telecom executive? I really wanna know what to expect before I go check it out myself. It's supposed to be an awesome spot for sunset photos, but, y'know...haunted. I'm hoping it's just a cool urban legend, but a little intel would be appreciated!

i've heard the hauntings are just old coaxial cables vibrating in the wind, sounds like whispers if you're alone at night. the building's still got power on some floors, so the emergency lights flicker and that freaks people out more than anything. if you want a real spook, go to the basement parking where the drains keep bubbling up even when it hasn't rained, smells like wet copper and old paper. sunset's great from the east side, but the west side has a better view of the river if you can get to the fire escape around floor 11

i went there with a friend last month and the creepiest part wasnt even inside. theres this old security guard who sits by the entrance, been there for like 15 years. he told us the original building manager died in a fall from the roof in 2003, accident supposedly, but nobody talks about it. the guard said he still hears footsteps on the stairwell at 2am sometimes but he just ignores it. sunset photos are worth it though, just go before dark or youll be navigating those broken stairs with your phone flashlight

fwiw i live like 3 blocks from there and walk past it almost daily. the haunted stuff is def overblown but the building does have this weird energy at dusk, like the whole place just hums. i think it's the old AC units still running on some floor, no idea who's paying that bill. if you're going for photos, the real trick is to go up the service staircase instead of the main elevator, there's a broken window on floor 9 that gives you this insane frame of the sunset over the river. just watch your step, the floors are uneven as hell up there

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
