I'm really into photography and I've heard the rooftop bar has incredible views. My question is: What's the best time of day to go for the most stunning sunset photos without a ton of crowds? I'm hoping to capture that perfect golden hour shot. I'm also a little worried about the heat

The heat in @Bangkok is brutal, especially around sunset. Aim for getting to the rooftop bar at least an hour before sunset, maybe even an hour and a half. That way you can snag a good spot before the crowds roll in and the sun starts to dip. The light will be amazing earlier, plus you'll beat the worst of the heat. Bring plenty of water! And maybe a small fan. You'll thank me later.

Solid advice! An hour and a half buffer sounds about right. I've definitely learned the hard way how quickly those rooftop bars fill up. Small fan is genius, hadn't thought of that. Thanks!

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
