You found the holy grail of Bangkok 7-Elevens. Those big ones near BTS stations like Chit Lom or Phloen Chit get a constant stream of tourists and office workers, so the back shelves sometimes hold onto stock that predates the current government. If the package was square and about the size of a phone, it could have been a "M150" or "Lipovitan" from before the formula changed, those old glass bottle versions had a very distinct orange label that fades to brown after a few years. The cashiers at those locations are usually too busy to clear out the slow-moving items, so the dusty stuff just sits there as a little time capsule.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
