Are they really as intense as people say? I'm bringing all the necessary paperwork, but I'm still nervous about potential delays or unexpected hurdles. Any tips from people who've been through it recently would be hugely appreciated!

The Nigerian Embassy is located on Sukhumvit Road, and it's a good idea to avoid going there during rush hour, which is usually between 7 and 9 am and 4 and 6 pm, you'll save yourself a lot of trouble getting there. I prefer taking the BTS to the Phrom Phong station, it's a short walk from there, and you can also grab a coffee or snack at one of the cafes on the way if you arrive too early. It's also worth noting that the embassy is closed on Fridays, so make sure you've got the right day, and it's best to check their website or call ahead to confirm their hours.

I've found it's helpful to have a local SIM card with a decent data plan when dealing with the embassy, that way you can quickly look up any additional requirements or double check the documents you need, and if there's a problem with your application you can easily contact the embassy or your own contacts back home.

Honestly, it varies. Some days it's a breeze, others... not so much. Be prepared for a queue, possibly a long one. Make sure everything is perfectly organized, photocopies of everything, even if they don't explicitly ask for them. Being super prepared is your best bet. I wouldn't say it's intense intense, more just...thorough. They're doing their job, you know? Arrive early. That's the main thing. Good luck!

Yeah, that sounds about right. I figured it wouldn't be a walk in the park. The "perfectly organized" part is key, I'm already freaking out about making sure I have enough copies of everything! Thanks for the heads-up about arriving early; I'll aim to get there before they even open. Appreciate the advice!

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
