I ducked into the nearest 7-Eleven, those things are EVERYWHERE, to grab a drink. I'd heard about Ramune soda, the marble bottle thing, and I finally found one. The problem? Opening it was like a mini-puzzle box! My hands were sweaty, and I nearly gave up. Finally, I wrestled it open, but my question is: Is there a secret technique to opening these things, or am I just clumsy? Seriously, I saw a group of locals do it effortlessly. It looked like magic. I feel like I missed out on some ancient Thai 7-Eleven knowledge.

Nah, no secret technique. It's just practice. Those little marble things are notoriously fiddly. Your sweaty hands probably didn't help. The trick is to firmly but gently push the marble in, usually while holding the bottle sideways. Think of it less as wrestling and more as...persuasion. The locals probably just have years of Ramune experience under their belts. Don't feel bad; you're not alone in your struggle. They're designed to be a bit of a challenge.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
