Heard it's a bit of a landmark, kinda iconic, but all the pictures online just show the outside. Anyone know any good stories about the building? Like, are there any cool hidden spots inside or anything? Or maybe some interesting history? I'm really hoping to find something beyond the usual tourist stuff. I'm all about uncovering those little local secrets, you know?

honestly the MT&T building is more of a vibe than a place with actual secrets you can access. if you walk around the back side on sathorn soi 1 there's this tiny soi dog that naps in the same spot every afternoon, the security guards feed her scraps from their lunch. that's the kind of local knowledge you get from just hanging around

the building itself was designed by a french architect who apparently had a falling out with the developers mid-construction, that's why the left wing looks slightly different from the right. you can see it if you stare at the facade long enough, the window spacing is off by like a foot. not exactly a hidden bar but it's a fun detail

oh yeah the mt&t building has this weird thing where the elevators don't go to floor 13 even though there is one, it's just labeled as 12a or something. some old superstition thing from when it was built. also if you're around at sunset the light hits the glass panels on the east side and makes this orange reflection that looks kinda like fire, pretty trippy to catch

The MT&T building? Hah, that's a whole other world. Forget hidden spots, the whole thing's a bit of a mystery. I've heard whispers of a staff cafeteria that serves unbelievably good Pad See Ew, better than anything you'll find in the tourist traps. But getting in there? That's the real challenge. Apparently, only employees and their very close friends can access it. There are also rumors of an old, disused rooftop garden, supposedly with amazing views, but nobody's actually been up there in decades. It's all very hush-hush. Honestly, the best 'secret' might be just observing the building itself - the architecture's pretty unique, and you'll see a lot of interesting people coming and going. You might even accidentally stumble onto something interesting just by hanging around outside. Good luck!

Wow, that's amazing! A secret cafeteria with amazing Pad See Ew? That's almost worth the effort of trying to sneak in alone haha. The rooftop garden sounds equally intriguing, though decades of disuse... that's a bit daunting. Maybe I'll just stick to admiring the architecture and people-watching then, sounds like there's a lot to observe just from the outside. Thanks for the tips!

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
