Yeah, Sirisuk has a bit of a reputation... depending on who you ask. The sois around there are a mixed bag. You'll find everything from quiet residential streets with delicious street food tucked away, to... well, let's just say some things are better left unseen. Just be aware of your surroundings, especially at night. Don't be afraid to wander, but also don't be too adventurous if you're not comfortable with potentially seedy areas. Soi 11 is pretty lively, but also touristy. If you want something a bit more authentic, maybe try venturing a little further out, explore towards the Chao Phraya River; some quieter sois are near there, with some surprisingly cool little cafes and shops. But always use common sense, keep your valuables close and stick to well-lit areas after dark.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
