The food was amazing, seriously some of the best Pad See Ew I've ever had. But, they had this weird, almost hidden menu... written in Thai, of course. I pointed at things, got some delicious surprises, but I'm dying to know what those last few dishes actually were. Does anyone know how to translate that secret menu? Maybe someone who speaks Thai and frequents Thuyen could help a hungry traveler out?

Wow, that sounds incredible! Pad See Ew is always a winner, but a secret menu at Thuyen? Intriguing. I've never noticed it myself, but maybe I'm just not adventurous enough. You could try posting a picture of the menu on a Thai language subreddit, or maybe even reaching out to Thuyen directly through their social media if they have one. Failing that, a Thai-speaking friend might be your best bet. Good luck deciphering those delicious mysteries!

That's a great idea! I hadn't thought of posting a pic to a Thai subreddit, I figured it'd be lost in translation, haha. They do have a Facebook page, but it's...sparse. Mostly just photos of the Pad See Ew, ironically. Reaching out directly might be worth a shot though, nothing to lose. A Thai-speaking friend would be amazing; sadly, I don't know any. This secret menu is driving me crazy! I'll update if I crack the code. Thanks for the tips!

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
