The aroma is insane, seriously, it's like a siren song for hungry travelers. I've tried a few, of course, but I'm convinced there's a legendary pad see ew hidden somewhere along that stretch. It's gotta be the one that makes you forget about everything else in the world for those precious few minutes it takes to eat. The kind that has people queuing down the block. Which stall holds this mythical dish?!

Honestly, you're not gonna find the legendary Pad See Ew. It's like searching for the perfect wave, everyone has their own favorite, based on some intangible "vibe." The best you can do is keep trying different stalls. Charoen Rat is a pad see ew battlefield; each one's got its own strengths. Go with your gut, if a stall's busy, that's usually a good sign. And don't be afraid to wander off the main drag; sometimes the smaller, less obvious places have the most amazing food. Good luck on your quest! You'll find something amazing, I'm sure of it.

That's a great way of putting it! The "perfect wave" analogy is spot on. I guess I was hoping for a cheat code, haha. Thanks for the advice, hitting the less busy side streets sounds like a plan. I'll report back with my findings... hopefully with a picture of the victorious Pad See Ew.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
