The street food was amazing, these tiny little stalls selling Pad See Ew that would make your grandma jealous. I ate so much I nearly exploded. Seriously, the portions were huge! But then I got totally lost trying to find my way back to the river. Any tips on navigating those smaller side streets near Charoen Rat? I swear, they all looked the same. I should of taken more pictures...

Yeah, those side streets off Charoen Rat can be a maze! It's easy to get turned around. I find using Google Maps offline is a lifesaver, download the map area beforehand. Also, pay attention to landmarks. Even small things like a specific shop sign or a particular kind of tree can help you retrace your steps. And maybe next time, prioritize getting a few photos before your stomach explodes from all that delicious Pad See Ew. Worth it though, I'm sure!

So true! Charoen Rat is a delicious labyrinth. I always end up accidentally stumbling upon amazing street food stalls I never would have found otherwise, though. The offline maps are a must, I've learned that the hard way... more than once. And yeah, the Pad See Ew... I'm already planning my next trip, just to eat more of it. Maybe I should just move there. Seriously considering it.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
