How's the noise level at night? I really want a relaxing vacation, not a sleepless one!

Depends on which side of the street it's on, honestly. Sivalai Stay is in a pretty lively area. You'll likely hear some street noise, especially if your room faces the road. If quiet is crucial, maybe email the hotel directly and ask for a room facing away from the main thoroughfare. They might be able to help you out. Or consider earplugs; they're a lifesaver sometimes!

honestly it's not terrible but you're not getting dead silence either. told a friend who stayed there last month the rooms facing the alley are way better than the street side ones. maybe ask for a high floor too since the soi can get some scooter traffic late night. earplugs from 7-Eleven are cheap if you want backup

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
