I've heard stories... whispers... about a secret rooftop garden only the staff knows about. Apparently, it's got the most amazing views and the best mango sticky rice in the whole city. Is this true?! Anyone know the deal? I need to know if I should sneak a peek or if it's just an urban legend.

Honestly, I've lived here for years and never heard that one. Bumrungrad is more about luxury service than secret gardens, so it's probably just a fun story the staff tells.

Nah, it's probably just a rumour. Bumrungrad is massive; they'd probably have security cameras everywhere. Plus, best mango sticky rice in the whole city? That's a bold claim. You'll find plenty of amazing mango sticky rice around the city, trust me. Focus on your check-up. Unless you're a parkour ninja, I wouldn't risk it. Your time would be better spent exploring actual rooftop bars with stunning views, plenty of those around. Enjoy @Bangkok!

I have a friend who's a nurse there and she laughed when I asked about it. She said the only rooftop access is a maintenance area with air conditioning units and a view of the parking lot. The staff canteen on the ground floor does have decent mango sticky rice though, about 80 baht.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
