It's totally nuts, scooters everywhere, street food stalls spilling onto the sidewalks, this incredible energy. I ate the best Pad See Ew of my life from a tiny cart tucked away in a side alley, but then... I got completely lost trying to find my way back to the main road. Seriously, the side streets are a labyrinth! My question is: Are there any easily identifiable landmarks or signs along the smaller streets that would help clueless tourists like me navigate without getting hopelessly turned around?

Yeah, those backstreets in @Bangkok can be a trip! Charoen Rat is wild. Honestly, reliable signage is... sparse, to put it mildly. Your best bet isn't landmarks so much as using your phone. Google Maps works surprisingly well, even down those tiny sois (side streets). Download the offline maps beforehand though, data can be spotty. Otherwise, just kinda...go with the flow. Embrace the disorientation. You'll probably stumble on something amazing. Plus, asking locals is always an adventure! They're usually super helpful, even if you can't speak Thai. Just point and smile a lot. It's part of the charm, I guess.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
