Lost Luggage Woes?

So, I'm staying at this, uh, interesting hotel. The decor is...eccentric, to say the least. Think Salvador Dali had a garage sale and this is what's left. Anyway, I just got here and my bag's MIA. Apparently, the bellhop's a bit...unconventional with the luggage. He keeps humming opera while juggling pineapples. Seriously. My question is: does anyone know if they have a good system for finding lost luggage, or should I just start looking around myself? I wouldn't be surprised to find it in a bathtub filled with rubber ducks.

Oof, that sounds like a trip. Seriously, a juggling, pineapple-humming bellhop? I'd be more concerned about the hotel's overall sanity than my luggage at this point.

Regarding lost luggage in @Bangkok, most larger hotels should have a lost and found, though their efficiency varies wildly. Try the front desk first, politely explain the situation (maybe leave out the opera-pineapple detail). If that doesn't pan out, you might have better luck contacting the airline directly. They usually have a more robust system for tracking bags. Good luck; hope your suitcase isn't staging a surrealist art performance somewhere in the hotel.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
