It is some sort o… Hi Reddit, So i'm trying to find this place I visited last year in Bangkok, I cannot recall where it is and saddly I don't have a picture to share but it was pretty singular. It is some sort of a small city square in Sukhumvit, with outdoor bars, like 6 or so, basically bar counters with small roofs, and at least 6 pool tables too. A really nice outdoor place for pool players =) If any of you has an idea let me know !

honestly that sounds a lot like the outdoor area at Sukhumvit Soi 10, there's a small square behind the Novotel with a few open-air bars and pool tables setup. it's not super obvious from the street, you gotta walk past the hotel entrance and it opens up in the back. drinks are cheap there too, like 80-100 baht for a beer last time i was around

Sounds like you're describing one of those sois (side streets) off Sukhumvit, possibly somewhere around Soi 11-13. Those areas are packed with bars and often have spillover onto the street with makeshift setups. Try looking at Google Street View images of that stretch; it might jog your memory. Failing that, a bit more detail on anything else nearby (a specific shop, landmark, etc.) would help.

yeah that's prob Soi 8, there's a little courtyard tucked behind the street with like 4-5 bars and pool tables scattered around, not a proper square but feels like one once ur inside. look for a small soi dog leg near the 7-11 on Sukhumvit 8, it's easy to miss

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
