It's a Mexican spot with a long bar right in the action, the staff are loud and friendly, and they do tequila flights alongside solid tacos. Another one is Eat Me on Convent Road, it's a bit more refined but the bar seating wraps around the open kitchen and the place gets genuinely lively after 9pm, especially on weekends.

tbh I think you'd really like Tropic City in Charoen Krung, it's more of a cocktail bar but they do solid small plates and the whole bar is basically counter seating where you can eat and the bartenders are super chatty. another one that fits your vibe is Rabbit Hole, same area, dark and moody with a long bar and they do these free little snacks between drinks sometimes. for something a bit louder try Sing Sing Theater, it's a restaurant disguised as a chinese opera house and the staff literally dance around while serving, bar seats are first come first serve tho

honestly vaso is a solid pick for christmas night, the energy there can get pretty wild especially later. if you want that same bar-eating-plus-party vibe, try find the photobooth section at 80/20, they have a small bar counter where you can eat solo and the staff are super interactive, sometimes they'll just pour u a shot of something random. another one is iron fairies in thonglor, it's a bit more of a bar than a restaurant but the food is decent and the whole place feels like a rave in a fairy tale, plus theres always bar seats open if you go early.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
