Finding a place to shred documents in Bangkok shouldn't be too hard. Plenty of office supply stores or even some print shops will likely offer the service. Look for places that cater to businesses – they're your best bet.

Haha, that's the beauty of finding those little gems! Pointing and hoping is often the best approach in places like that. Next time, though, try downloading Google Translate's camera function – you can just snap a pic of the menu and it'll translate it. It's not perfect, but it's way better than guessing. Or, failing that, a phrasebook focusing on food might help you sound out the basics. You'll still need some luck, but at least you'll be better informed!
