Hotel pool with sun all day?
Seems to be impossible to find 😅😅 Preferably something on the ch… Do any of you have recommendations for a hotel that has a swimming pool with sun preferably all day? Or atleast until the afternoon?

tbh at 1,800 baht you're better off looking at hotels in the Ratchada area rather than central Sukhumvit. the Novotel Bangkok Platinum has a rooftop pool that gets solid sun from about 11am to 4pm, and I've seen rooms around 1,600-1,900 on Agoda if you book a couple weeks ahead
the pool is on the 8th floor so it's not like a sky bar view or anything but it's open air with decent loungers. the area's a bit busy but you're right next to the MRT which makes getting around easy, and there's a food court downstairs with cheap eats
honestly at that budget you're prob not gonna find a pool that gets full sun all day, most hotels here have the pool tucked away on some lower floor or shaded by the building
check out the Tints of Blue hotel on Charoen Rat Road, it's a bit south of the main tourist spots but the pool is on the rooftop with no tall buildings around so it gets sun from like 10am til sunset. rooms around 1,500-1,800 baht last I checked
the area is a bit quiet tho, not much nightlife nearby but there's a 7-11 across the street and a decent pad krapao spot a 2 min walk
For a budget around 1,800 baht you could check out the Ibis Styles on Sukhumvit 4. The pool catches sun from late morning until early evening, and the rooftop area has a nice view too.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
